Overview
Reggio Lingua is a specialized school for the teaching of the Italian language and culture to foreigners. It organizes study-abroad and homestay courses with the possibility to participate in guided tours and excursions and to attend cooking courses, courses of drawing and painting, of art history, of literature, and courses in preparation of the CELI and CILS examinations.

The school is located in a 15th century building in Reggio Emilia, a lovely, accessible and lively town, outside the turisty places, famous for its cooking tradition and the hospitality and warmth of its people.

In additon to the language courses Reggio Lingua organizes Italian language and cooking courses that are held in an "agriturismo" located at 4 kms from the centre of Reggio Emilia. These courses last one week and consist of daily classes of four hours each. Each lesson starts with an introduction to the common words and phrases used in the kitchen followed by the hands-on-experience of preparing a meal together with the chef.

Reggio Lingua offers free assistance to find accommodation. All types of accommodation, except for farmhouses, are located near the school and are reachable with public transport. Accommodation is reserved starting from the Sunday before hte beginning of the course until the Saturday morning following hte end of the course, unless students request a different time period.

All the courses have a registration fee of € 30,00.
Standard study-abroad course - 20 hours in group € 310

Cooking course for one week, one hour of Italian language and three hours of Italian cooking classes each day, costs € 390

Costs Include:  The costs of our study-abroad programs include: Italian Language lessons, entry test, teaching material, certificate of attendance, guided tour of Reggio Emilia, half a day excursion to the surrounding areas, showing of Italian films, visits to the local cheese, wine and balsamic vinegar producers. The cost of the cooking course include: 20 hours of Italian and cooking lessons, didactic material, lunch, visits to wine cellars, balsamic vinegar and Parmesan cheese producers, and certificate of participation. The costs of our homestay courses include: classes of Italian language, accommodation for 6 nights, full board for 6 days, teaching material, a weekly excursion.

Dates
Our study-abroad programs start every two weeks while our Homestay courses can begin at any time, according to the students' needs.
Our cooking courses usually take place the first week of each month.
