Come to Spoleto, in the green of Umbria region, Rich in monuments and charming places, Spoleto, whose own history dates back to Roman times spanning over more than 2500 years, is a fascinating city where to meet friendly people and to relax while enjoying a programme of events organized every week by the School, such us visits to beautiful towns, museums, vineries and evening's parties.
At Spoletium you can choose among a wide set of courses: Our scope of interest is not just on the Italian language as such, but on Italian culture at large and its best. On offer are courses as diverse as Italian opera and Italian cuisine.
Private apartments, family home-stays, hotel rooms and accommodation in country houses are all available at your decision.
Spoleto lies at the very heart of Italy, and it is the ideal departing spot for daily trips to Rome, Florence and other cities of Central Italy. Getting to Rome by train, for example, will take you just one hour and half.
The Italian Language courses we offer at Spoletium stem from the experience that our teachers have gained teaching Italian to non-native speakers in Italian schools abroad in countries such as Germany and Japan. When laying out our language courses we take into full account the most recent outcomes in scientific research about learning Italian as a foreign language. Our courses comply with the standard regulations set by the European Common Framework of Reference for Language Learning.
Our courses draw on a wide range of written and audiovisual sources that will lead you not just to a solid grasp of the structure of the Italian language, but also to effectively develop communication skills ready to be used in your daily life.
Our classes will be composed by no more than 8 students per class. There will be 4 lessons each 50 minutes long every morning from Monday to Friday.

This is your best choice if you want to have a real taste of genuinly Italian domestic life. Hostfamilies are selected with special care and you will be sure to share your life with helpful Italian people in a welcoming environment. The big plus of homestaying is of course the opportunity it gives to you to practice the language with no break and no pains.
But it is not just that: you might want to actively partecipate in the family life, thus learning how enjoyable it is to live Italian style. Since two meals a day, i.e. Italian breakfast and dinner, are included in the homestay fees, you will be given the daily chance to observe how to cook Italian food and then try it yourself!

Include: - Tuitions of Italian Course (4-hour-lessons per day, 5 days per week).
- Accommodation (home stay, but you can also choose other kinds of accomodation).
- Numero Azzurro, a mobile phone number that you can call, 24 hours a day, if you meet any trouble.
- You can use our pc to browse internet and send/receive e-mails. Facsimile facility is also available.
- Information service for you to travel in Italy.
- VISA (Permission to Stay in ITALY): Our staff will help you for the documents regarding the permit to stay in Italy.
