Overview
A 3-month journey exploring the languages and cultures of Bolivia, Peru and Ecuador. Live in individual homestays while studying Spanish in Bolivia and Peru. Participate in worthwhile community service and environmental projects. The semester is designed to allow you to learn Spanish, make a positive contribution, and learn first-hand about the cultures of the Andes and the Amazon. Fall (Sept-Dec) and Spring (Feb-May) every year. Open to ages 17 to 26.
Travel with a group of 10-14 and two adult leaders. Language study: intensive Spanish study and homestays in two countries. Service: build homes for the underprivileged in Bolivia and do environmental work in the Upper Amazon. Adventure: trek the Inca Trail to Machu Picchu. Visit the colorful, indigenous market of Otavalo. College and high school credit is available.
Academic Credit
Academic credit is available.
College credit (up to 15 quarter or 10 semester hours) is available for each program (semesters and summer). Students have also used our programs in order to complete their high school requirements.
