Overview
WorldTeach volunteers teach English at public primary schools throughout the country. Responsibilities include instructing students in first through sixth grades, team-teaching with Costa Rican teachers, organizing adult English classes, and forming English clubs in their host communities. Many volunteers also engage in service opportunities outside of the classroom with a focus on environmental education. The twelve-month program runs from January through December. WorldTeach provides a month-long training and orientation program. Program fee includes international roundtrip airfare, health insurance, and meals and accommodations while in country.
Eligibility
Volunteers must be native English speakers and hold a bachelor's degree.

A monthly stipend of $75 is provided to cover basic living expenses.

The program fee is $4990.

Yes.
WorldTeach programs often qualify for international fellowships or travel funds awarded by colleges, universities, and other educational institutions. Applicants are encouraged to check with their schools or other educational institutions for eligibility.
