Volunteers are placed in sites on Majuro, the urban center, and in more remote sites on the outer islands, many of which do not have basic modern conveniences such as electricity. WorldTeach provides a month long orientation and training program and ongoing field support. Program fee includes international roundtrip airfare, health insurance, and meals and accommodations while in country. Eligibility Volunteers must be native English speakers and hold a bachelor's degree. Housing/Accommodation • Homestay / Host Family Volunteers receive a monthly stipend of $125 to cover the cost of living expenses. Program Costs The program is fully funded by the Marshall Islands Ministry of Education. A $1500 deposit is required, but will be refunded to volunteers upon completion of the program. Costs Include:  The program funding includes international roundtrip airfare, health insurance, and meals and accommodations while in country. WorldTeach provides orientation and training. Financial Aid Yes. Dates The program runs twelve months, from mid-July to late May. Deadlines Applications are accepted on a rolling admissions basis. Space is limited to 30 volunteers.
