Overview
The 32 week Diploma in Commercial Skydiving offered at New Zealand Skydiving School is a unique and exciting qualification aimed at those wishing to make a career in the growing adventure tourism industry. The full-time course includes 200 skydives and teaches students the necessary skills and knowledge to make them highly employable in the worldwide skydiving industry.
Subjects include: Dropzone Operations such as Manifesting, Rule Familiarisation, First Aid and Sales Techniques; Commercial Skydiving including dedicated coaching camps, specialist sections on freefall camera and video, meteorology, relative work training, spotting, accuracy, workforce promotion and self-management; Advanced Skydiving including more specialist areas of skydiving, methods of parachute packing and maintenance, editing videos/DVD’s, giving radio assistance to student parachutists, loadmaster responsibilities, displays, extraordinary parachute descents, emergency situation action plans, aircraft procedures and equipment.
Students also complete an organised industry Work Placement allowing students to apply everything learnt on the course to the commercial industry. This opportunity has proved invaluable in students gaining employment at the end of the course.

International students should be 18 years or over, weight less then 95kg's, reasonable understanding of English (IELTS level 5.5 or above)
