Overview
Our school is located in Alghero, one of the most beautiful corners of Mediterranean Sea, an ancient town with a funny night-life, a lot of sports (sail, diving, bike, tennis, volley, rugby...) and last but not least: a perfect mild climate all over the year. During first course's week the school proposes a whole school dinner, students and teacher; once a week we will show a film amongst those that have made the history of Italian cinema, including some about Sardinian culture and traditions.
LANGUAGE COURSES
Italian language Standard courses include a daily four-hour lesson from Monday to Friday, from 9.00 to 13.00, 20 hours for week. The lessons last 55 minutes, with a break of 20 minutes.
The courses begin every Monday of the week all over the year.
For long term courses the school offers special fees very interesting.
SPECIAL COURSES
We offer a lot of extra activities: two art courses, a mosaic course and a painting en plein air course, L'arte della vacanza.
Some cooking and food culture programmes, about Italian and Sardinian food and wine and typical products: in the large kitchen of the Oltremare Centre, with the help of the teacher you will cook some of the most interesting Italian and Sardinian dishes and you will taste them with all together.
In vino veritas, an introductory lesson about wine culture, a tasting of three different kinds of white wine with cheeses and vegetables in olive oil and a tasting of three kinds of red wine with assorted sausages and cheeses.
Oro in cucina, we offer a meeting with Italian oil, paying particular attention to Sardinian oil. A meeting to taste different types of oil with different types of bread, accompanied by vegetables.
Furthermore, it is possible to visit a producer and his farm.
SERVICES
The school will help you to find the best kind of accommodation and a service of Internet and e-mail is free for the students. A large library with the most important books and films of Italian and Sardinian literature and cinema are always free for the students.
