Students can learn a new language and live a new culture, making a cultural immersion into the Brazilian way of life in one of the most beautiful cities of the world. Rio de Janeiro. We believe that the best way to learn a language is by experiencing it in its original environment. At the weekend many students can arrange to take optional excursion to local cities. These excursions are slightly more expensive than the daily activities. As they are normally full day or full weekend excursion and could be include (transport, accommodation, tickets) Special Courses or Features Portuguese Immersion Program (40+ hrs/wk) Programs for Teenagers Programs for Seniors (50+ years old) Small Classes (5 or less per class) One-to-One / Private Lessons Programs for High School Students Short Programs (1 Week or Less) Test/Exam Preparation Activities Available Water Sports Art or Painting Music Cooking & Culinary Dance Eligibility To be enrolled in our immersion program, the applicant must be 18 or older. This is due to our safety policy. Student must follow visa/passport diplomatic procedures of country of origin. See tips in the Traveler’s Check List. Housing/Accommodation • Homestay / Host Family • Apartment / Flat • Hostel Program Costs The price will vary depending of your program choice. We offer programs from a week to 6 months. A week in a standard group is $534,00 ( 2:30hs per day - 5 students per class ) Costs Include:  - Portuguese Course starting every monday, including books and related materials. - Bilingual guide for the social activities. 3 in the basic intinerary and 1 social night out. - Accommodation at a host family and breakfast provide. - Airport Transfer. - A Nice BrazilianTrip Kit ( An exclusive T-shirt, a cap, a map and a safety guide ). Dates The Cultural Immersion Program package provides these services: the Portuguese course( starting every monday ), including books and related materials, a bilingual guide for the social activities – 3 in the basic itinerary + 1 social night out-; accommodation at a host family and breakfast provided. We recommend a host family house. But if, for whatever personal reason applicant prefers an apartment or a hotel room instead, then a fee will be added to program cost. However due to apartments being seasonally rented, and hotel rooms sought after during summer vacation high season in Rio de Janeiro, we recommend that reservation be made in advance to assure student’s lodging.
