Overview
IIMCR believes that young people can and should play an important role in establishing peace and security in their communities, in their countries and regions, and in the world. IIMCR is the only organization specifically dedicated to the training of students and young professionals in the skills of conflict resolution. While we believe that young people are uniquely positioned to become catalysts for conflict resolution in the world, we also understand that constructive approaches to conflict are vastly under-taught and that there are few links between experienced professionals in the field of conflict resolution and young people eager to learn from them. Through its Symposia, IIMCR aims to build a bridge between these groups so that the older generation can pass along to future leaders the basic analytical frameworks and practical skills they've developed and employed to analyze, manage, and transform conflict effectively.
