If you’re a student that is serious about perfecting your Japanese while having a great time in Tokyo the KCP Program is an affordable and challenging opportunity. It’s offered 5 times a year during Fall, Winter, and Spring terms or you can choose one of our 2 popular Summer programs. And, in only 1 semester you can learn over 1 year of university-level Japanese-language proficiency through total immersion in Japan’s language and culture. Special Courses or Features Japanese for Academic Purposes Japanese Immersion Program (40+ hrs/wk) Academic Credit Academic credit is available.  Sponsor/Affiliate schools include Western Washington University, the University of Idaho, Lincoln University/CCIS, New Mexico State University, and Idaho State University. Eligibility High School Graduate, 18 years of age or older, GPA: 2.5 Housing/Accommodation • Dormitory • Homestay / Host Family Program Costs An Affordable Program! Many Japanese language programs will cost between $8,000 and $13,000 per semester, the KCP program costs $5,500 or less—about half the cost! Academic credit and financial aid is available through our sponsoring and affiliate Universities, and you should be able to apply federal and state financial aid to this program. Students can generally apply their existing financial aid to any of our package programs. See web site for more information under the Academic Credit section. Dates Summer programs begin in either June or July. Our summer short term program ends in mid August, while our summer regular term ends in late Sept. Application deadlines are 4-months prior to program starting date. Deadlines 4-months prior to study. If long-term visa is needed, application deadline is 6-months in advance.
