The WWU Intensive Program is an affordable and challenging opportunity. It’s offered 5 times a year during Fall, Winter, and Spring terms or you can choose one of our 2 popular Summer programs. And, in only 1 term you can learn over 1 year of university-level Japanese-language proficiency through total immersion in Japan’s language and culture. Special Courses or Features Japanese for Academic Purposes Academic Credit Academic credit is available.  Transcript through Western Washington University. Eligibility A GPA of 2.5 or higher is required. A student must be at least 18 years of age and a high school graduate. Essay and letter of reference is required. Our goal is to make Japan possible for you. Many Japanese language programs will cost between $8,000 and $13,000 per semester, the KCP program costs $5,500 or less—about half the cost! Academic credit is available, and you should be able to apply federal and state financial aid to this program. Through consortium agreement forms with students home University. Dates Our most popular programs-- the summer short term and summer regular program begin in June and July respectively. The short-term program ends in mid-August, which the regular summer option ends in late Sept. Applications must be received 4-months prior to departure.
