Mission: “provide the serious student with the opportunity to gain proficiency in Japanese through total immersion.” Founded in 1983. Over 1000 students per year. Special Courses or Features Japanese for Academic Purposes Japanese Immersion Program (40+ hrs/wk) Small Classes (5 or less per class) One-to-One / Private Lessons Academic Credit Academic credit is available.  Transcript Eligibility GPA: 2.5, 18 years of age, high school graduate, student with strong desire to learn the Japanese language and culture. Housing/Accommodation • Dormitory • Homestay / Host Family • Apartment / Flat • Hostel Program Costs Many Japan study abroad programs will cost between $8,000 and $13,000 per semester, the KCP program costs $5,500 or less—about half the cost! Academic credit and financial aid is available, and you should be able to apply federal and state financial aid to this program. Compare KCP with other study abroad programs.
