Overview
Australian Catholic University (ACU) is a public university, open to all, with its name having been derived from its historic roots. ACU is particularly strong in the fields of business, education, nursing, and sports science. Although the university itself is relatively new, its educational traditions are well established. SUNY Oswego participants to ACU can choose to study at either the Brisbane or Sydney campus. Each campus is small enough to allow for a close working relationship between students and teachers, and large enough to offer a vast diversity of course choices at equally exciting locations. Students have the option of homestay housing, which provides an excellent way of learning more about the everyday life and culture of Australia, or living off campus in apartments or private student dormitories. On campus-housing is offered at the Brisbane campus only.
highlights: Students may be eligible to undertake an internship while they are at ACU. Students must be of junior or senior standing. Students complete 3 courses worth 4 credits each and an internship worth 3 credits for a semester total of 15 credits. Internships are available in the fields of environmental science, history, fine arts, education, public management, literature, publishing, cultural studies, business studies, finance, economics, marketing, and management.
