Overview
WorldTeach volunteers teach English at schools or community centers throughout the country. Students range from children to adults. There is a choice of two departure dates in September and March. Volunteers departing in September are more likely to be placed in sites in the central mountainous region while those departing in March are more likely to be placed in sites along the coast.
WorldTeach provides a month long orientation that includes TEFL training, practice teaching, language classes, and an introduction to Ecuadorian politics and culture. Program fee includes international roundtrip airfare, health insurance, and meals and accommodations while in country.
Eligibility
Volunteers must be native English speakers and hold bachelor's degree.

Volunteers receive a monthly stipend of $110 to cover basic living expenses.

WorldTeach programs may qualify for international internship and travel funds awarded by colleges, universities, and other educational institutions. Students are encouraged to check with schools and educational institutions for eligibility.

The program runs for ten to twelve months, with a choice of a March or September departure.
