Overview
The ability to speak two or more languages is a clear advantage in today's world. If you are interested in exploring a culture that is the birth place of the Renaissance Italian may be the language for you! Italy continues to exercise an incredibly strong influence in areas such as food, fashion, science and art.
Italian is the Romance language closest to Latin. As the English language derives much of its vocabulary from Latin, knowledge of Italian will help you understand the many idiosyncrasies of the English language. The ability to speak Italian will allow you to experience first hand the culture that is the cornerstone of western civilisation as we know it.
