Overview
A Florence Semester is the art, culture, music, history and language of Italy, and the political issues of modern-day Europe. Field-trips to important cities and museums are part of the semester. Classes are scheduled Mon.-Thur. to allow for weekend travel. Classes are in the Kent State's historic and recently rennovated Palazzo dei Cerchi, located in the heart of Florence.

Academic credit is available.
Kent State Registar provides official transcript to student and home institution.
Eligibility
In good-stading at home university, 2.5 gpa on a 4.0 scale and two recommendations are required.

Program Costs
The fall 2005 cost is estimated at $9,500 for Ohio residents at $12,998 for non-Ohio residents.
Costs
Include: Estimated cost includes apartment rental, tuition, round-trip air, medical insurance and some field trip expenses.

Fall Semester: mid-August departure, mid-December return. Spring Semester: mid-January departure, mid-May return
