Overview
The Russian Area Studies program aims to help students gain a greater understanding of Russian history and culture combined with intensive Russian language instruction.

Eligibility
Overall GPA 2.75
0– 4 semesters of college-level Russian or equivalent. At least one semester recommended, but motivated students with no previous Russian have been very successful in this program.

Costs
Include: The CIEE fees for 2008-09 include an optional on-site airport meet and greet, full-time leadership and support, tuition, housing and most meals, orientation, field trips to Novgorod, Moscow, Tallinn (fall semester), the Pskov region (spring semester), local excursions, an end of program event, pre-departure advising, transfer to St. Petersburg point of departure at program end, visa fees (expedited processing fees not included) many course materials, and a CIEE iNext travel card which provides insurance and other travel benefits.
