A non-profit educational organization, IES offers high academic standards and extensive financial aid in more than 30 programs throughout the world. IES Quito has offes two unique IES Programs: the Area Studies & Language Program and the Direct Enrollment Program. The Area Studies & Language Program offers a wide range of courses in a variety of disciplines and focuses on Ecuador’s ecological and ethnic diversity and the challenges of development. Highlights of the program include unique field trips to the Galápagos Islands and the Amazon region, and internship and service learning opportunities. The Direct Enrollment Program offers students the opportunity to directly enroll at the Universidad San Francisco de Quito, which offers a full range of academic options. Service learning and internships are also available. This option is available to students who have taken at least six semesters of Spanish.
