Overview
The IES Amsterdam program offers students three different study opportunities in Amsterdam. Students may study fine and applied art at the Gerrit Rietveld Academie, Jazz or Classical theory and performance at the Amsterdam School of Music, or humanities, social sciences, law, and economics at the Universiteit van Amsterdam.
Amsterdam and the Netherlands offer unique opportunities for field study in the arts, business, environmental studies, international law, social welfare, and in the media. Students can pursue their individual interests through service learning or field placements.
The IES center is housed in a Universiteit van Amsterdam building on the Prins Hendrikkade, which is within a short walking distance from Centraal Station. Students have access to university facilities including libraries, computer rooms, student restaurants and canteens as well as memberships in student clubs and sports teams.
Academic Credit
Academic credit is available.
