Overview
We offer students the opportunity to see the rapidly-changing world of Central Europe at first hand while studying at Poland's oldest and most prestigious university. Our programmes are taught by leading regional specialists with an excellent student/teacher ratio.
We offer courses in: Polish, Russian, and German languages; Modern European State Formation 1648-2000; The Cultural Construction of European Identities; EU Law and Institutions; Introduction to 20th Century CEE Art; Jewish Religion and Culture in CEE from the Middle Ages to 1939; and many others.
The city of Krakow is home to countless museums and churches filled with art treasures.
The 11 universities keep the many libraries and bookstores bustling by day. The uncountable cafes and clubs keep the city lively by night.
Each lecture course is 40 hours of classroom time and ends with a written exam or term paper. Each student normally must take at least three lecture courses and a language each semester. Each course is worth 6 ECTS points (roughly 3 US semester credits)

Costs
Include: The costs above include only tuition, library access, and access to computer lab.
The tuition does not cover room or board. The exact cost of your stay in Krakow is largely up to you. We will be happy to help you find lodgings appropriate to your budget. We have a limited number of very cheap ($50 per month, doubles only) dormitory rooms on reserve as well as nicer private flats. You could be frugal and eat only in the school canteens or you could go wild in the many restaurants of Krakow. Less than $4000 set aside for the costs of life will result in a Spartan lifestyle. Most students find $7000 to be quite comfortable.
Financial Aid
Yes.
The programs qualify for Stafford loans, Fulbright scholarships, and many others that are normally available to US students. The program is also recognized by Canadian financial aid centres. It is always best to contact the Financial Aid office of your home country.
