Overview
GlobalQuest offers semester programs for high school seniors and students who are taking time between high school and college. The 12-week semester experiences are offered each spring and fall to groups of 12 students and 3 teachers. The GlobalQuest studies are academically rigorous, interdisciplinary, and place-based; collaborative and experiential learning methods are used throughout. An emphasis is placed on development of collaborative learning communities.
Study sites in Ecuador include the Andean highlands, the Amazon basin, the northern coast, Quito and Cuenca, and the Galapagos Islands.
Academic Credit
Academic credit is available.
High school credit for five academic courses is earned. College credit is possible on a case-by-case basis.
Eligibility
Applicants must submit a standard application form. three essays, two teacher references, and a high school transcript.

Tuition: $15,500 per semester, not including airfare

Dates
Ecuador semester programs run from late September through early December and from late February to early May.
Deadlines
It is recommended that applications be complete by March/April of the academic year preceding the semester applied for. Rolling admissions are implemented until each semester group is filled with 12 students.
