Overview
The Solvay Business Schools of the French-speaking Université Libre de Bruxelles (ULB) and the Dutch-speaking Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB) have joined forces to offer an International/European orientated Master’s programme in Management Science.
Taught entirely in English, this programme is intended for students wishing to complete a master’s degree in management with a highly international slant. It is suitable for students resident in Belgium who wish to acquire a master’s with a more international profile, as well as for international students who would like to complete their master’s in the capital of Europe.
The two-year, full-time programme brings together existing Solvay Business School programmes of both universities, with a marked accent on international aspects of management.
During the second year of the programme, students can opt either for a more “European” or a more “International” orientation to their curriculum.
All classes take place on the campuses of the Université Libre de Bruxelles (ULB, campus Solbosch) and the Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB, campus oefenplein). Most will take place during the day, although some of those given by professionals will take place in the evening. Students select their campus of choice (ULB or Vrije Universiteit Brussel) when they enrol.
Students with a bachelor degree in Management, Economics or Business Administration (or similar) can send in an application file. In order to be admitted, students should have a specific academic background, containing courses in several domains like “Law”, “Quantitative methods”, “Economics”, “Management”, “Languages”, “Social Sciences” and “Natural Sciences”. Some domains are more important than others and additional programs are possible for students lacking background in some domains. Each file will be assesed by an admission committee and a preliminary inquiry is possible.
Graduates will receive their Master’s Degree in the name of both universities.
