Overview
The University of Toronto (UofT), International Summer Program is for students currently enrolled in a university outside North America interested in doing an undergraduate course at UofT. Students register in courses during the summer as a visiting students and transfer course credits back to their home institution. For more about eligibility, courses, dates, cost, the application process, and program activities, visit our website.

Academic Credit
Academic credit is available.  Students can enrol in one or two courses per term (no more than two courses per term). At the University of Toronto, one course per summer term is equivalent to a half-credit and one course held for both summer terms (i.e., from mid-May to mid-August) equals one full credit; 20 credits are required to complete a 4-year undergraduate degree.

Eligibility
The International Summer Program is open to students who meet the following three requirements: 1. Students must meet the University of Toronto English facility requirements. 2. Students must be in good academic standing from a recognized degree granting institution and be currently registered in a degree program. 3. Students must provide a Letter of Permission from their home institution giving them approval to enrol in University of Toronto courses.

Dates
Classes are held during two terms in the summer session:
Term 1: May 15 to June 30, 2006 (tentative dates)
Term 2: July 4 to August 18, 2006 (tentative dates)

Students can enrol in courses during one or both terms; however, for students intending to come for one term only, we recommend that they enrol in courses during the first term if possible.

Applications are due March 1. Late applications will be accepted time and space permitting. The application form can be submitted online; other documents must be sent to the Professional & International Programs Office at the University of Toronto.
