Overview
International Logistics and Transport Management (Bachelor)
This 4-year programme is fully taught in English.
Your future
As a graduate from the International Logistics and Transport programme you may take up a career at national or international advisory agencies, transport companies, multinationals, haulage companies, and relief organisations, but also at small and medium-sized enterprises and at public bodies. Graduates are equipped to fill a range of positions, such as purchase manager, production planner, project manager, distribution manager and supply chain manager.
Course Planning
In the first year you will become acquainted with the professional fields of logistics as well as mobility. In project groups you will deal with four projects: location and accessibility, space for IKEA, global distribution, and international traffic studies. Topics of courses delivered include packaging/loading/transport, intelligent transport systems, traffic regulation, traffic studies, transport management, economics, statistics, law and traffic design. Moreover, training sessions in English, Dutch, calculus and communication skills are scheduled in the first year.
In the second year you will follow classes in multimodal transport, trade and transportation law, ICT in distribution, outfitting warehouses / distribution centres, material handling, operations research, computerisation techniques, care logistics, communications, physical distribution, production logistics and event logistics.
In the third year you will focus on network logistics, logistics information systems, simulation, quality management, production logistics and port logistics. All students perform two three-month placements. These placements allow you to learn as you work at a company that matches your interests and ambitions, which provides you with on-the-job experience.
In the final year you will gain in-depth knowledge on physical distribution, business management, operations management, freight transportation research, management science, operations research and trade and transportation law. In the second semester of the fourth year, you will carry out a graduation project, which covers 20 weeks.

Eligibility
If you want to apply for this programme, you should have successfully completed secondary school or secondary vocational education. Although not compulsory, it is recommendable to have had economics and mathematics in your set of final examination subjects. Non-native speakers of English have to show their proficiency in English through a TOEFL test (minimum score 550 paper-based or 213 computer-based) or IELTS test (minimum score 6.0).
