Overview
Apply NOW to meet the deadline for Alban scholarships: Dec 22, 2005.
N.B.: You need to be admitted to the porgram first in order to be eligible for Alban scholarship.
This unique postgraduate course, entirely held in English, not in German, combines the technological, economical and cultural aspects of digital media and finishes with a M.Sc. degree in Digital Media. This is not a programme in computer science but its application in the media. We are happy to announce that the programme received an international accreditation by ZeVA Hannover in September 2005.
The ISNM is an affiliated, tuition-based Institute at the University of Lübeck. It is characterised by an interdisciplinary programme, small seminars and workshops, and an excellent student-professor-ratio. We provide the advantage of personal attention and advising with regard to your individually chosen curriculum, intercultural adjustment to living in Germany and assistance in obtaining your visa and accommodation.
We require that you have a computer-based TOEFL score of ca. 225 or an equivalent knowledge of English, a Bachelor degree (of at least 3-4 years) or similar diploma. Further, we assume that you are familiar with the use of computers and the world wide web and perhaps have some professional experience in your current field. Should you not meet these requirements but feel you have an equivalent qualification to enroll in our programme, please detail this in writing. In any case, all applicants will have an opportunity to present their qualifications in a telephone interview after we have received your written applications.
Applications for 2006 are already welcome!
Apply NOW in order to be able to apply on time for a DAAD scholarship. The deadlines for most stipends offered by DAAD are approaching.
Applications for the next academic year are accepted at any time but have to be submitted latest by August 31, 2006. Late submission is possible for applicants:
- who are likely to get a German visa within two months- June 15.
- who already have obtained a students visa to study in Germany or who do not need such (EU citizens)- Aug 31
For your application we need your curriculum vitae, certified copies of your college and university diplomas, TOEFL score, and documents on any practical training or professional experience, if you have had any. In addition, we require a 1-page letter of motivation stating why you are specifically interested in studying at ISNM and with which goals you are applying, given your own background in relation to our programme and your future professional plans. Please also fill out the application form, which we have attached, and send it to us with your other application material.
Institutional financial aid is available and highly qualified students are welcome to apply for different types of sponsorship.
