All courses are taught in English. Academic Credit Academic credit is available.  Transcripts sent to home institutions contain the number of credits awarded by Ryukoku University (with letter grades.) It is up to the student's home institution to determine the number and type of credit transfer. We recommend students consult relevant faculty at their home institution about credit transfer before coming to Japan. Eligibility The applicant must: hold citizenship in a country other than Japan; be outside Japan at the time of application; have completed a twelve-year curriculum of education in a country other than Japan, or be able to demonstrate scholastic ability equivalent thereto. Applicants whose native language is not English must have obtained a TOEFL score of at least 500. Housing/Accommodation • Dormitory University dormitory is available for 25 000 JPY per month, excluding utilities. Program Costs The estimated total budget for the entire program (one semester) is 480 000 JPY. Costs Include:  Application Fee: 10 000 JPY; Tuition: 160 000 JPY; Cultural Experience and Outings: 20 000 JPY. All costs must be paid in Japanese Yen. Each student is responsible for his / her own travel expenses to and from Japan and miscellaneous commuting costs inside Japan. Miscellaneous expenses will vary depending on student's individual spending habits and lifestyle.
