Volunteers are able to participate in a highly customized program which may include teaching at local schools, mapping trails, cataloging plants, flowers, and trees, and taking care of horses and other animals. This program is an excellent opportunity to learn spanish, as it is the only language spoken by most residents of Los Quemados. Volunteers have access to a clinic, telephone and internet facilities, laundry facilities, and more. Rancho Wendy offers this program at a budget price of 100 dollars per week, which includes room and board. Eligibility If a participant is under the age of 18, we require a signed letter of consent from the parent of the participant. We are extremely flexible in terms of a starting date. We prefer participants stay for at least a week.
