While most people tend to think of Paris, the "City of Light", France has much more to offer than just one city. From the beaches of Brittany to the Cote d'Azure, the diverse landscape of France consists of forests, farmlands and mountains--including one of Europe's highest peaks, Mt. Blanc. As you study the history and culture of France, you will see for yourself why the French are so proud of their heritage. Art lovers cannot resist France with its history of artists and sculptors--and no one can forget the famous French cuisine! Academic Credit Academic credit is available.  Varies by school. Housing/Accommodation • Homestay / Host Family Program Costs Academic Year $8,250 Fall Semester $7,000 Spring Semester $7,250 Summer Cultural Exploration $5,699 Summer Cultural Immersion(RSA)* $4,700 Costs Include:  Round-trip airfare from the international airport nearest to your home, including all domestic and international flights Student medical insurance (accident and illness) Placement with a carefully selected host family and meals with host family or placement in a residence hall, including breakfast, dinner and lodging expenses Enrollment in a local high school for all academic year, fall and spring semester students and students in the Japan Summer Cultural Immersion program 24-hour emergency assistance, should the need arise Pre-departure and in-country orientations Supervision, guidance, and support during the application process and throughout the program AYUSA Student Handbook and AYUSA T-Shirt Financial Aid Yes. AYUSA awards Youth Leader Scholarships (YLS) based on academic merit and financial need. Deadlines are September 1st (Spring) and March 1st (Fall/Academic Year/Summer).
