From sandy deserts of cactus and lush pastoral landscapes, to bustling modern cites and quaint sun drenched villages, Mexico is a country of friendly people with plenty to share with the world. Learn about Mexico's unique history which blends pre-Hispanic Mesoamerican civilizations with the traditions of Spain. Stroll the cobblestone streets of colonial towns and explore Aztec temples and pre-Columbian ruins at the country's numerous archaeological sites. A country with a rich artistic and culinary culture, Mexico is a country that will astonish your senses and capture your heart. Academic Credit Academic credit is available.  Varies by School. Housing/Accommodation • Homestay / Host Family Program Costs Summer Cultural Exploration $3,999 Costs Include:  Round-trip airfare from the international airport nearest to your home, including all domestic and international flights Student medical insurance (accident and illness) Placement with a carefully selected host family and meals with host family or placement in a residence hall, including breakfast, dinner and lodging expenses 24-hour emergency assistance, should the need arise Pre-departure and in-country orientations Supervision, guidance, and support during the application process and throughout the program AYUSA Student Handbook and AYUSA T-Shirt Financial Aid Yes. AYUSA awards Youth Leader Scholarships (YLS) based on academic merit and financial need. Deadlines are September 1st (Spring) and March 1st (Fall/Academic Year/Summer).
