Overview
The AP degree in Financial Management is a 2-year full-time undergraduate programme developed in 2005 based on research into the demands of the business world for staff with international competences in the area of finance. It will involve you in a demanding process of personal and managerial development, providing you with opportunities to reflect upon existing behaviour and attitudes using finance and management concepts. The programme addresses many financial and management issues and aims to provide a rigorous education leading to the award of an Academy Profession Degree.

The AP degree in Financial Management consists of 3 semesters with compulsory courses and projects and one elective semester comprising the final exam project. The teaching and learning approaches are based on themes. This means that all subjects cooperate on joint inter-disciplinary semester themes in order to link the individual subject elements and create a more holistic view.
1st semester: Introduction to Finance and Methodology - Core subjects - The Financial Sector and Financial Products
2nd semester: The Financial Sector and Society - Financial Counselling of Private Clients
3rd semester: Financial Counselling of Business/Corporate Customers - Financial Enterprise Forms
Modules covered: Financial Enterprise and Markets, Personal Finance, Customer/Client Relations, Business Economics, Management and Communications, Global Economics, Business Law, and Statistics
4th semester: Specialisation and Final Exam Project
The specialisation period (18 ECTS = approx. 3 months) may consist of one of the following: a) a work placement in a company in Denmark or abroad b) theoretical studies at an institution of higher education in Denmark or abroad
The final exam project (= 12 ECTS) must demonstrate ability to work independently and methodologically with a complex problem within the area of finance - done on assignment with a company.
