In this way, international students have the opportunity to experience and live in the metaphysical and time-honoured city of Kraków whilst studying at the most prestigious university in Poland. Today, the Jagiellonian University attracts over a thousand foreign students annually. Academic Credit Academic credit is available.  Credit is given based on the rules and regulations of the European Credit Transfer System which is recognized worldwide. Eligibility In order to be eligible to participate in the Study Abroad Programme at the Department of IPS, all applicants are required to be in good academic standing at their home university. Housing/Accommodation • Dormitory • Apartment / Flat Program Costs The Department of International Polish Studies offers two options to fee payment for the Study Abroad Programme. Students can choose from a standard or a full-package tuition fee. The standard tuition fee is US $3,500 per semester. The package tuition fee is US $5,908 per semester. Costs Include:  The standard tuition fee covers the cost of three selected courses, including private tutorials and course materials (the cost of each additional course is US $450), full access to the Department of IPS computer lab, all university libraries, and all other standard university facilities. Dates The autumn semester commences at the beginning of September and ends in late December. The spring semester starts at the beginning of February and ends at the beginning of June. Orientation seminars are organized with the staff of the Department of International Polish Studies to inaugurate each semester. The Summer Study Abroad Programme will take place from 24 June to 4 August, 2006. All application documents and materials must be sent to the Department of IPS no later (as postmarked) than: 1 May 2006 for Autumn Semester 2006 1 November 2006 for Spring Semester 2007 In regards to the Summer Programme, all application documents and materials must be sent to the Department of IPS no later (as postmarked) than 15 April, 2006.
