Overview
The Summer Programme is an intensive 6-week course of study where students come to develop their understanding of Poland and Polish Studies in an interdisciplinary manner.
The Summer Study Abroad Programme includes lecture courses co-taught in English with professors and other lecturers of the Department of IPS and Northwestern University. Study excursions focusing on the thematic nature of the curriculum are also offered (Lviv, Ukraine; Warsaw; Shtetl Tour; Auschwitz-Birkenau). Participants of the Programme have at their disposal an on-site dedicated support staff provided by the Department of IPS to help adjust to the new cultural milieu and experience Krakσw, the Jagiellonian University, and Poland more comprehensively.
The curriculum focues on the following modules: literature, culture, history, religion, Jewish studies, politics, and economics.
Academic Credit
Academic credit is available.
Credit is given based on the rules and regulations of the European Union's European Credit Transfer System, which is recognized worldwide.
Eligibility
In order to be eligible, candidates must be in good academic standing at a recognized university.
Dates
The Summer Study Abroad Programme begins 24 June and ends 4 August, 2006.
