Overview
We offer life-changing study abroad programs in Costa Rica and Nicaragua for students who believe that they can make a difference in the world: students who would like to play an active role in creating long-term solutions to problems facing our global communities and environment.
Through experiential service-learning, you will:
* Immerse yourself in another culture.
* Discover that learning is not a spectator sport as you get your feet muddy
hiking to the top of a volcano or your hands dirty installing solar collectors for a
remote village school.
* Become part of the solution to local and global environmental problems.
* Earn 15 college credits.
* Design your own action plan, following completion of the program, to become a
part of a network of individuals of conscience committed to global sustainability.

Academic Credit
Academic credit is available.
Students receive 15 semester credit hours of academic credit through articulation agreements with accredited colleges and universities in the United States.
Eligibility
We are looking for students who believe tht they can make a difference in the world; who would like to play an active role in creating long-term community solutions to environmental problems, who enjoy learning by doing while being of service to others, who have a deep respect for other cultures, and who would like to participate in a life-changing experience.

Hostel
Students live with host families for part of the semester program. This total immersion experience provides a wonderful opportunity to become immersed in the culture and language of the host country. During the field studies portion of the semester, students have an opportunity to live with other students in a hostel setting.
Program Costs
Program cost - $10,500 per semester.
Costs
Include: Program costs include tuition, room and board, in-country transportation, all program materials, etc.
Dates
Fall Semester runs from early September through the second week in December.
Winter/Spring Semester runs from late January through the second week in May.
