LIVE THE PAST, CREATE THE FUTURE:
Summer is the best time to have a taste of artistic life in Florence. Accademia Riaci, a top Florentine School of Art & Design, offers rare credit-bearing Summer Programs for art concious high-schoolers world wide. It is one of the few art schools in Italy with summer courses open to international students below 18 years old.

TAILORED INSTRUCTION BY TOP ARTISTS:
Lessons are taught by qualified, leading Florentine artists equipped with the most traditional to the latest utramodern skills, techniques and trends. Through extensive practice and hands-on, tailored instruction, students will acquire skills and techniques from the most traditional to the latest trends.

QUALITY FIRST!:
The academy imposes great emphasis on the quality of work, development of artistic sensitivity and originality of each learning artists' style. Classes are kept small to maintain the level of instruction in an intensive learning enviornment.

INSPIRATIONAL CURRICULUM:
The curriculum is enhanced with inspiring artistic excursions, and immertion in Florentine art, as well as cultural exchange with students from all over the world.

FEATURED SUMMER MAJORS:
Life Drawing / Painting, Jewelry Making, Interior Design, Art History, Italian Language.

OPTIONAL COURSES:
Italian Home Cooking, Jewelry Making, Overnight Trip to Venice, Mediterranean Sea Day Trip.

LOCATION:
Accademia Riaci is located in the historical center of Florence, strategically situated between the Duomo and the Church of St. Lorenzo, and within a 3 min. walk from the Central Station. Outside of class, students can easilywalk to major museums, or visit crystal-clear Medditerranean beaches.

Academic Credit
Academic credit is available.  Up to 6 school credits valid within the Academy will be granted(Please inquire for credit transfers).

Housing/Accommodation
Apartment / Flat

Accademia Riaci has several "Student Flats" (shared apartments) reserved for the academy's students. Flats come with one or several rooms per apartment, and one room may be shared by students of the same sex, or reserved for a single student upon request. LOCATION: The flats are located in either a walkable distance or within a 10 - 15 min. bus ride away from the school campus, and may come with or without a host family. The definite location of the flat will be communicated to each student upon enrollment, by a week prior to the course commencement date. Facilities: Bathrooms and kitchens will be shared with your flat mates. Basic cutlery, pots, pans will be available for student use.

TUITION:
1400 euro (3 credits) - 2700 euro (6 credits)

REGITRATION FEE:
100 euro

FLAT FEES:
Single: 700euro/month
Shared Double or Triple: 500euro/month
*Gas, electricity, and water included in the fee.

Dates: June 18 - July15 / July2 - July 29 / July 30 - Aug 29
