Schiller International University has been accredited by the Accrediting Council for Independent Colleges and Schools since 1983. SIU is accredited by the Accrediting Council for Independent Colleges and Schools to award associate, bachelor’s and master’s degrees. ACICS is recognized by the US Department of Education. The University is licensed by the Florida State Council for Independent Education to award associate, bachelor’s and master’s degrees. Its accreditation of degree-granting institutions is also recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA). Schiller International University campuses in London, Paris and Madrid are accredited by the British Accreditation Council for Independent Further and Higher Education.

Schiller International University offers a variety of scholarships and institutional grants based upon academic merit and financial need. In all cases, a student's academic record will be reviewed, and inspecified cases a student must show financial need. Being a private institution with limited funding, the University encourages students to seek alternative sources of funding to augment the cost of attendance.
