Overview
New Perspectives: Japan is a three-phase program which is centered around a two-week study tour of Japan. Teachers and students approach the program as a group, sharing insights and reflections to enhance the overall experience. Your time in Japan begins in Tokyo where your group will follow an itinerary you have designed during the months of preparation for the trip. You will stay near the center of Tokyo with easy access to sites of interest for those wishing to experience contemporary Japan. Next you will travel to your host school and homestay where you will be completely immersed in the culture. During schools days you will take your seat along side Japanese students. On the weekends and in the evenings you will be a part of a Japanese family. The groups will finally reconverge on Kyoto for the final leg of the trip taking in the sights and tastes of ancient Japan before heading home to share their new perspectives on Japan with family and friends.
