Overview
The HAMBURG SCHOOL OF ENGLISH Teacher Training Centre provides intensive (4-week) and part-time (10-week) English language teacher training courses leading to the internationally recognised Cambridge CELTA certificate. In addition the school provides specialized training in teaching Business English (CertTEB validated by the London Chamber of Commerce and English UK) for experienced teachers. For all courses we can provide career information and accommodation support.
Our tutors have experience in teaching and training in different settings worldwide (UK, Russia, Costa Rica, Malaysia, Vietnam, South Africa). All our trainers have worked in Germany for several years and have taught General English to adults and Business English courses for major German corporations. In addition all members of the training team have experience in educational mangement in language schools. This means they combine pedagogical expertise in both general and business English teaching with awareness of what employers expect from newly trained teachers.
The school itself offers a wide range of courses for ESL students both on the school premises and in-company.

The majority of housing options are a room in a shared flat within 30 - 40 mins. travel time of the school. Use of bathroom, kitchen & living room.
The approximate cost is EUR 100 per week which includes room rental and utilities (gas, water, electricity & heating) but not telephone or food.
We do not arrange appartments but can provide contact information for those who wish to arrange their own accommodation.
Program Costs
Costs for CELTA certificate: EUR 1500.
Costs for CertTEB programme: EUR 750 + GBP 55 Examination fee
Costs
Include: CELTA fees include tuition, materials & Cambridge ESOL registration fee.
CertTEB fees includes all materials and tuition.
