Program Participants • Undergraduate (College) • Graduate (College)		Quick Look • Location: Vienna - Austria • Language of Instruction: english Overview 10 day summer school in computer-assisted composition in Vienna / Austria with Bruno Liberda The course offers classes and individual studio time in the „Wiener Klangwerkstatt“: Bend and shape sound anyway you want: Experiment - explore - discover. Technology has its own challenges for composers; find out what is congenial for you and work accordingly. Morning lectures From Sampling to Resynthesis: embeded in historical discours and audiovisual examples, learn the basic strategies of electronic composition. As in a small group (enrollment is limited to 6 students), you will benefit from lively Q&A situations. Afternoon: Hands-on application In your 8 hours of assisted individual studio time, you will be coached by Bruno Liberda, working on a Kyma Sound Design Workstation. Inbetween new sonic experiences, you will have guided tours to sites in and around Vienna, a city with not only unique musical history, but with the richest and most important art collections in the world.
