Overview
Ali Baba International Center is an international organization established exclusively to give people, of different ages and nationalities, the opportunity to learn and live the Arabic language and culture in a relatively short period of time. We organize three types of programs: intensive summer programs, regular semester programs, and special programs.
Ali Baba International Center will organize in the summer of 2007 a total of five Arabic language summer sessions: four intensive 1-month long sessions, and one regular 2-month long sessions.
Four Intensive 1-Month Sessions
Ali Baba International Center will organize four 1-month intensive sessions in the summer of 2007: one session in June, one in July, one in August and one in September. In each session, elementary, intermediate and advanced classes can be opened to meet the demands of people having different backgrounds in Arabic. A placement test will be given to the registered students before the start of the course to determine the level and accordingly the appropriate class they should enroll in. Please note that a class of any level will be opened provided that the enrollment in that class reaches at least six students. Finally, a typical 1-month intensive summer class meets four hours and a half per day, five days per week, for a total of 90 contact hours.
One Regular 2-Month Session
In addition to the four 1-month sessions mentioned above, Ali Baba International Center offers one regular 2-month summer session during the period June 12, 2007 ~ August 15, 2007. All levels: elementary, intermediate and advanced will be offered. A placement test will be given to the registered students before the start of the course to determine the level and accordingly the appropriate class they should enroll in. In principle, and due to the high expected enrollment, classes of all levels will be opened. However, the average number of students in one class will be much higher than the average student enrollment in the 1-month intensive classes. Classes may have 15 or more students in average. Finally, a typical 2-month regular summer class meets three hours per day, five days per week, for a total of 120 contact hours.
