This is achieved through the academic program and cultural immersion activities including the homestay and cultural activities. The program is held in Salvador da Bahia, an important center of Afro-Brazilian culture. Academic Credit Academic credit is available.  Recommended credit 6 semester/9 quarter hours Eligibility • Overall GPA 2.75 • 4 semesters of college-level Spanish and/or 2 semesters of college-level Portuguese (or equivalent) Housing/Accommodation • Homestay / Host Family Brazilian Homestays Program Costs Current pricing will begin to be available on 12/15/08 on our website. Costs Include:  The CIEE fee for 2008 includes an optional on-site airport meet and greet, full-time leadership and support, tuition, housing and two meals per day, orientation, cultural activities, local excursions, pre-departure advising, and a CIEE iNext travel card which provides insurance and other travel benefits.
