Overview
The goal is for students to make progress in their Spanish skills through an intensive language program preceding the semester and two semester-long Spanish language courses. Students also study and analyze the construction of Peruvian culture through two CIEE courses on contemporary Peruvian social reality and the ancient civilizations and historical events that have shaped Peruvian society. The program strives for total cultural and language immersion through carefullyselected host families, cultural excursions, and the Compañero PUCP program.

Academic credit is available.
Total recommended credit for the semester is 16 semester/24 quarter hours.

Costs
Include: The CIEE fees for 2007–08 include tuition, optional on-site airport meet and greet, full-time leadership and support, housing, all meals, orientation, cultural activities, local excursions, pre-departure advising, and a CIEE iNext travel card which provides insurance and other travel benefits.
