The program strives for total cultural and language immersion through carefully selected host families, cultural excursions, and volunteer opportunities. Intensive two-week language program prior to the start of the semester Wide range of course offerings at a prestigious Peruvian university Unique CIEE core course on contemporary Peruvian society Peruvian homestay Extended field trip outside of Lima to a site of cultural and historical importance; visits to museums, theaters, and galleries; and excursions to such places as Cuzco and Lunahuaná Academic Credit Academic credit is available.  Recommended Credit semester: 15-22 semeseter/22.5–33 quarter hours academic and calendar year: 30-44 semester/45-66 quarter hours Eligibility • Overall GPA 2.75 • 5 semesters of college-level Spanish or equivalent • Spanish language course within the past year recommended Housing/Accommodation • Homestay / Host Family - Peruvian homestays Program Costs CIEE updates program prices twice a year on their website. Spring/Calendar Year program pricing is updated on August 15. Fall/Academic Year/Summer program pricing is updated December 15. Costs Include:  The CIEE fee includes tuition, optional on-site airport meet and greet, fulltime leadership and support, housing, all meals, orientation, cultural activities, local excursions, pre-departure advising, and a CIEE iNext travel card which provides insurance and other travel benefits. Financial Aid Yes. We offer a number of scholarships for which our students may apply. Please contact CIEE for more information.
