These goals are achieved through integrated study with Ghanaian students and immersion into the cultural and social life of the University and the surrounding community. Academic Credit Academic credit is available.  Recommended credit semester:15–18 semester/22.5–27 quarter hours academic year:30–36 semester/ 45–54 quarter hours Eligibility • 3.0 GPA • 3.0 GPA in major • Junior standing or above • College-level coursework with African studies recommended Housing/Accommodation • Homestay / Host Family • Apartment / Flat - Ghanaian homestays - University apartments with CIEE, international, and Ghanaian students Program Costs Current pricing will begin to be available on 8/15/08 on our website. Costs Include:  The CIEE fees for 2008-09 include tuition, housing, optional on-site airport meet and greet, full-time leadership and support, orientation, excursions to locations such as Kumasi and the Cape Coast, Elmina, and Aburi Botanical Gardens and some field trips in the greater Accra area, host institution identity card (for access to library, sports facilities, computer labs), admission fees to host university events, immersion activities, a comprehensive student handbook, predeparture advising, and a CIEE iNext travel card which includes insurance and other travel benefits. Students placed in Homestays will have breakfast and dinner provided during the week and three meals a day on weekends. Financial Aid Yes. We offer a number of scholarships our students may apply for. Please contact CIEE for more information.
