In this program volunteers will be placed with a Nepali family in a small rural village or within a city for the duration of their stay. They’ll learn about all aspects of Nepali culture, lifestyle, language, food, tradition and people - an unforgettable experience. Volunteer should remember that this is a cultural exchange so they should try and offer some knowledge of their own home culture and customs to your host family. During Volunteers home-stay they will attend 2 hours of language lessons in the morning and in the afternoon. Volunteers can spend the day visiting the local village and school and exploring the local area. They will also have the opportunity to help out at the local school. Home-stay programs can only be arranged for two weeks to 2 months and are best from August to December, which is the time when most large local festivals take place resulting in an overall more exciting experience. Housing/Accommodation • Homestay / Host Family • Hostel Accommodation: volunteers will either stay with a host family, within a rented house, within a hostel, We offer clean, comfortable living spaces, and volunteers will stay either in a single or shared room (depending on the host situation). Volunteers need to bring their own sleeping bags and other accessories. Program Costs 2 Weeks US $ 600 4 weeks = US $ 700 6 Weeks = US $ 800 8 weeks = US $ 900 10 Weeks = US $ 1,000 12 weeks = US $ 1,100 Costs Include:  The program fee covers: - Pick up / Drop at the airport - Administration Fees - Accommodation and main meal during training and placement - Language Course / Cultural Orientation - Regular support, Visit, Supervision during placement - Local communication from office - Transportation cost during sight seeing - Legal services Dates The programme starts on the 1st and 15th day of each month. ( year-round) • You can volunteer from 2 weeks to 3 months. If you wish to volunteer for a short period, your initial training period will be shorter than described above.
