About our Location
Habla Ya Language Center is located in the valley of Boquete, a peaceful yet exciting mountain town in the province of Chiriqui, an amazing destination that has it all: Panama’s highest mountains, longest rivers and most fertile valleys. Known as the “Valley of the Flowers and the Eternal Spring”, Boquete has recently been exposed by adventure enthusiasts around the globe, naturally becoming Panama’s Eco-Tour & Adventure Capital. With a pleasant all year round cool sunny mountain climate many travelers come to Boquete to raft its world class whitewater rapids, zip through the canopy of its tropical cloud forests, to discover its rich diversity of wildlife or to hike to the top of the Baru Volcano. Only one hour away from the pristine beaches of the Pacific and only three hours away from the white sand islands of Bocas del Toro in the Caribbean you can easily combine Spanish lessons in the mountains during the week, with warm beach vacations during the weekend.

Courses Offered
Not everyone wants the same Spanish course. Habla Ya Language Center offers different Spanish language courses to suit each student’s specific needs. The first decision you have to make is if you would like private lessons (one on one), group lessons, or a combination of both. The different courses that we offer at our Spanish school are:
- Group 4 Course: four hours of group lessons per day with the option of adding extra private lessons. A maximum of four students of the exact same Spanish level per classroom. Groups available for students of all different levels (from complete beginners up to our superior levels)
- One on One Private Course: any amount of hours of private lessons per day.
- Spanish for Travelers: a quick and intensive language course to learn Spanish for your journey through Latin America.
- Part Time Crash Course for New Residents: if you have moved to Boquete this course is for you.
- D.E.L.E. Exam Preparation Course: prepare for the DELE, the official test of Spanish as a foreign language.
- Personalized Spanish Courses: Intensive Spanish Courses, Spanish for Children or Young Teenagers, Medical Spanish Courses, Spanish for Business, Tourism or Legal purposes, etc.
About our Language Programs
Any of these courses can be part of any of the following language programs or with both of them:
- Latin Cultural & Spanish Immersion Program (any Spanish course + home stay with a local family);
- Eco-Tour & Adventure Pack (any Spanish course + Eco & Adventure Tours)
Through our Total Immersion Program you get to live with a carefully selected local middle class family that lives within walking distance from the school. This host family will not only accommodate you with a private room and provide you with breakfast and dinner, but they will also take you as a true member of their family and make you feel at home while you have the opportunity to practice your Spanish and improve your conversational skills 24 hours a day.
For those not interested in family home stay, our students are eligible to receive special discounts at Boquete’s best local hostels, bed & breakfasts and hostels. Comfortable accommodation is an essential part of your study trip. We will make you feel cozy, secure & right at home.
Students that participate in our Eco-Tour & Adventure Program take advantage of all the wonderful activities that Boquete and the province of Chiriqui have to offer. For these students we schedule their lessons in a way that allows them to take advantage of any of the following excursions:

About our Methodology
The main objective our Spanish courses is to improve your communication skills. We do not just want you to learn Spanish, we want you to use it! Language is a practical skill you have to acquire, not just something you need to learn. That is why our teaching method focuses on the development of the 4 skills: speaking, listening, reading & writing.
Habla Ya Language Center is on the cutting edge when it comes to understanding and utilizing the newest & most effective techniques to teach Spanish as a foreign language. Instructors are able to recognize each student's learning abilities & meet their needs with precision.
Our level system and syllabus is built under the guidelines of the Common European Framework for Languages which provides reliable and objective measures of linguistic ability and details the specific contents and skills that students should learn and acquire in each level.

Academic credit is available.
We are approved by the Ministery of Education of Panama to give credits valid 0.5 points of a seminar for each 40 hours of study. To be recognized by other colleges/universities/schools outside Panamanian borders you should contact us and we will contact your institution.

We cannot put enough emphasis on how important it is to choose appropriate accommodation during your Spanish course in Panama. Accommodation is an integral part of your study experience. All of our accommodation options are carefully selected. Each host family, hostel, hotel, bed & breakfast, apartment & cabin is approved & overseen by Habla Ya Language Center. The quality is monitored by regular visits, phone calls and student feedback.
Program Costs
Group lessons (20 hours per week): $165 - $220 per week depending on the amount of weeks students sign up for.
Private lessons (20 hours per week): $240 - $290 per week depending on the amount of weeks students sign up for.
Costs
Include: Note that there is no separate registration fee for our courses. Included in the course fees: registration, level test, class material and handouts, certificates, wifi internet connection at the school, cultural & social activities, all the coffees you can drink and access to all the school's facilities.
Dates
Beginner groups start on the first Monday of each month, except when that Monday is a public holiday. During the high season we also have beginner groups that start on other dates. Please contact us for availability. Students who already know some Spanish may start our Group 4 course on any Monday throughout the year depending on group availability for their level.
