We have been providing practical, intensive training in audio production for over ten years. Instructors at Mid-Ocean School of Media Arts have extensive experience in presenting both theoretical and practical aspects of audio production. Through our Audio in Media programme we provide a learning environment that reflects the ?real world? by guiding students through a number of initial projects while they study the theories of audio production and then spend the last month of the programme completing recording sessions on their own. During this time students use the latest in professional audio equipment, a variety of resource material, and are given the opportunity to meet and work with numerous local musicians, producers, and engineers. Our programme is a six month intensive, and practical learning experience designed to provide graduates with the vocabulary, primary technical skills and concepts for a wide range of entry level positions in the audio production field. Eligibility Applicants must have high school graduation or GED (high school equivalent), proof of most recent transcripts, and be at least 18 years of age. Most current resume with cover-letter Music and or recording experience is strongly recommended A 300-word essay detailing your interests, goals, experience, and inspiration regarding your chosen career. All applicants require a personal interview with the head administrator either in person or on the phone.
