Overview
Sociedad Hispano Mundial is a school designed principally to teach Spanish to foreign students, but also deals with teacher training and teaching English as a foreign language to Spanish people. We have been in business since 1995, and we currently organise courses in six different locations around Spain – Almeria, Almuñécar, Granada, Guadix, Sierra Nevada and Tenerife. Our headquarters are located in Granada. Both the Administrative and Academic management have more than 20 years of experience, and have in their time earned the school various awards, including the “Master de Popularidad” in the teaching of languages, accrediting the Sociedad Hispano Mundial as the most highly considered school of its kind in Granada.

Although we specialise in group classes, we can also provide private tuition. Our courses are however hugely varied, designed to meet the needs of as many students as possible. Moreover, not only do we provide classes, but we also find accommodation for our students. They have the option to stay with a host family, in a flat with other students, or in student residences. The most highly recommended option is to stay with a host family, as this gives the student the opportunity to truly live a day-to-day Spanish life. This emphasis on "cultural" learning is also important in our courses themselves. That is, we organise activites such as tours of the city, excursions to tapas bars, and even flamenco classes, in order to provide our students with a broader Spanish experience.

Granada, home to the magnificent Alhambra palace, is a wonderful city, not only in terms of culture and character, but also in terms of nightlife, being a university city. Students who come to study with us are enchanted by the mixture of different cultures found in Granada, for example, spending the day ambling through the Moroccan markets and “teterías” (tea houses) of the Arabic quarter, the Albaicín, and spending the evening in traditional Spanish tapas bars. Either way, Sociedad Hispano Mundial is always here to help, and the students find the individual attention that we give to them a useful way of understanding Spanish culture.
