Overview
For fourteen years Dragons has offered rugged and honest introductions to the people, landscapes, and issues of the developing world. Traveling by foot, train, bus, tractor, and horse drawn cart, participants discover the awesome beauty of the developing worlds wilderness areas, and the spectacular cultural traditions that continue to exist in towns and villages that lie off the beaten path. Through monastery-stays, home-stays, meetings with Peace Corps volunteers and development workers, service projects and visits to remote sights of cultural and historic interest, students gain profound insight into the beauty and drama of daily life in developing nations. On a Dragons summer (15 +) or gap-year semester (17+) program you can venture to China, Tibet, Thailand, Cambodia, Mongolia, Vietnam, India, Mexico, Guatemala, Peru, and Bolivia, Senegal.
