Overview
The Intensive International Relations program is a module that can be applied to many of our Cyprus-based programs. This program is designed for academically-oriented International Relations majors with a research interest in regional topics and courses are taken at Intercollege, the largest private college in Cyprus.
Semester-term students on the Intensive International Relations program enroll in four classes, of which two will typically be International Relations courses. Students also perform a semester-long independent study with the assistance of a faculty advisor from Intercollege's International Relations department. This study typically culminates in a research paper.
A jewel of a Mediterranean island and the birthplace of Aphrodite, Cyprus combines a rich cultural and archaeological heritage with great natural beauty and a welcoming population. Today, Cyprus is a stable, economically-advanced member of the European Union and provides an interesting contrast between its westernized cities and ultra-modern beach resorts that exist side-by-side with traditional mountain villages and monasteries with ancient customs and traditions.
