Overview
An opportunity to spend either a semester or a full academic year studying alongside the undergraduate fine art / visual arts students of the Cyprus College of Art. Located on the southern European island of Cyprus, the Cyprus College of Art offers a very unusual environment in which to learn about making works of art. You will be encouraged to engage with the local environment (which could take the form of looking at the natural environment, or the human environment, or the history of Cyprus, or the contemporary culture of the island, and to use this as the basis for your painting, sculpture or photography. Our tutors will encourage you through group and individual tutorials to explore ideas that are of particular interest to you and advise you on technical matters. Weekly life drawing sessions are held, together with a vibrant cultural studies program.
Academic Credit
Academic credit is available.
Accreditation is through the OCA / University of Glamorgan CATs system. For a one semester program 60 English/Welsh credits equivalent to 16 US credits are awarded. For a full academic year program 120 English/Welsh credits equivalent to 32 US credits are awarded.
One semester is equivalent to 600 hours accredited study. A full academic year is equivalent to 1200 hours accredited study.
Eligibility
You should be already enrolled on a bachelors degree in Fine Art, or visual arts, or studio arts, or similar program in which credits in studio arts study are acceptable. You must gain permission from your home institution to undertake this program before applying. If you are not currently enrolled at another institution you can still apply for this program, but you must first contact us to explain your current level of art experience.

We provide simple low cost living accommodation. Alternatively, we can help you to find higher grade private living accommodation, although you would be required to pay the rent on this yourself.
